Our team recently completed a critical upgrade at the Rome regional office of a leading global news company, ensuring the highest levels of safety and reliability within their infrastructure. This project involved the installation of state-of-the-art systems designed to protect both the Comms Room and the entire office environment.
Advanced Leak Detection with TTK
We installed a new Ethernet-enabled TTK leak detection system throughout the two floors of offices and the Comms Room. This cutting-edge system is integrated with the site’s Building Management System (BMS) and configured for full internet access, enabling detailed remote investigation and real-time monitoring of any detected water within the monitored zones. This proactive approach to leak detection minimises the risk of water damage, safeguarding critical IT infrastructure and ensuring uninterrupted operations.
Upgraded VESDA System for Enhanced Fire Safety
Recognising the importance of fire safety, we also replaced the end-of-life Very Early Smoke Detection Apparatus (VESDA) system with a new, more reliable panel and sniffer tubes. The new VESDA system is thoroughly integrated with the BMS, providing early detection of smoke and potential fire hazards within the Comms Room. The new sniffer pipes have been strategically installed and rigorously tested to ensure comprehensive coverage and instant alerts in the event of any smoke detection, allowing for swift action to prevent potential disasters.
Seamless Integration and Commissioning
Both the TTK leak detection and the new VESDA systems were meticulously commissioned and tested to ensure flawless operation. By integrating these advanced systems with the existing BMS, we have provided the client with a robust and responsive solution that enhances the overall safety and security of their office environment.
