Over the past two weeks, one of our Barbour Consulting installation teams was mobilised to Riyadh for a significant power upgrade project. The mission included the installation of new Automatic Voltage Regulators, a Dual Generator Load Bank Panel with castell key-protected A and B Generator interconnects, a Crestchic resistive load bank, and a swap-out and testing of existing MCCB (Moulded Case Circuit Breaker) protective devices.
Comprehensive Project Management
Barbour Consulting managed the project end-to-end, beginning with the procurement of all equipment. We oversaw the builds, ensured compliance with quality standards, and navigated the complex Saudi customs import process, ensuring smooth delivery.
Installation and Commissioning
Once on-site, our engineers installed all components seamlessly, integrating them into the existing infrastructure. The new Automatic Voltage Regulators ensure a stable voltage supply, while the Dual Generator Load Bank Panel enhances redundancy with castell key protection for safe operation. The Crestchic resistive load bank was used for testing under various load conditions, ensuring reliability during actual power demands.
Training and Handover
Following installation, we conducted training sessions for on-site staff, ensuring they were fully equipped to manage the new systems. We provided comprehensive Operating and Maintenance (O&M) manuals, giving the client complete documentation for ongoing management.
