Barbour senior engineers are City and Guilds 2919 certified for the testing, installation, and certification of car EV chargers. Our expertise ensures top-tier quality and safety in every project.

Our global media customer recently had a unique request outside of our usual day-to-day projects. They needed us to install four electric car chargers across two central London city locations.

Given that these chargers were to be placed in customer-facing parking areas, the installation had to meet data centre quality standards in both execution and final presentation. We took this challenge head-on, ensuring every detail was meticulously addressed.

To achieve a flawless finish, we created new diamond-cut channels, poured new concrete, and machine-polished the surfaces to perfection. Our in-house team manufactured powder-coated metal box section plinths and barrier tubes, which were then expertly formed, painted, and installed. We even carefully cut and installed drive brick blocks to ensure a seamless and impressive appearance.

Once the installations were complete, we issued NICEIC certificates, guaranteeing compliance and safety. The result was a happy customer and an impeccable installation that stands as a testament to our commitment to excellence.
