One of our install teams has been busy this week in Düsseldorf, delivering a critical upgrade to a large data centre. The project involved installing a new 800-amp DC system alongside a 120-way PDU setup, ensuring seamless power distribution for this high-demand environment.
Precision was at the forefront of this installation from the initial planning to final commissioning. Our in-house consultants meticulously designed the battery sizing, cable layouts, and overall system architecture to maximise efficiency within the available space. Every cable was carefully selected and routed for optimal performance and longevity.
On-site, our engineers followed a rigorous installation process. Each cable was expertly dressed and labelled, with every lug hydraulically affixed and secured using colour-coded heat shrink for clear identification. Every termination bolt was torqued to the correct specification and then paint-striped to ensure long-term stability and compliance with strict industry standards. Once the installation was complete, the system was commissioned precisely to match the site's load requirements, with full remote visibility of alarm parameters to support ongoing monitoring and maintenance.
