The BCPML team is now back in the UK after completing the latest phase of generator installations. This stage forms part of a wider programme and marks a natural pause before the next round of work begins.

Attention now shifts to the next rollout, with a further fifteen generator sets planned for installation across sites in France and the Netherlands. As with previous phases, the focus remains on preparation and coordination, making sure each site is ready and protected before work starts.

Moving large plant from the UK into Europe is not always straightforward. Since Brexit, the paperwork and compliance requirements can be time consuming and, at times, frustrating. Rather than avoiding this, we have worked closely with experienced logistics consultants to understand the process properly and refine it over time. What was once difficult is now familiar, allowing projects to move without unnecessary delay.

This approach also means we continue to specify British manufactured equipment for our European projects. While sourcing locally might appear simpler, we have chosen to stay with manufacturers we trust. That decision supports skilled jobs in the UK, strengthens British manufacturing, and keeps investment within the supply chains we know deliver consistent quality.

For us, this is not about convenience. It is about confidence in the equipment, long term relationships, and maintaining the same standards wherever a project is delivered. Whether a site is in the UK or mainland Europe, the expectation does not change.

As work progresses into the next phase overseas, the priority remains the same. Plan carefully, deliver reliably, and continue backing British engineering while supporting clients with resilient and dependable power infrastructure.
